Do I need to know how to pose?
Not at all! You don’t need experience in front of the camera, just a willingness to fully lean into the experience together. I’ll guide you through the entire session with direction, movement, and prompts, but the best photos happen when you’re open to laughing, running around, twirling, holding each other close, and being fully present with your person. Most couples end up saying it felt more like a fun, intentional date than a photoshoot.
What should we wear?
Soft neutrals and earthy tones photograph beautifully and keep the focus on your connection. If possible, avoid solid black, navy, or any darker colors, as it can feel heavy in photos. Coordinating tones (rather than matching exactly) creates the most natural, timeless look. Feel free to send me outfit options if you’d like help deciding!
Can you recommend any good locations?
Absolutely! I have a curated list of beautiful locations across Arizona that photograph beautifully in different seasons and lighting. Whether you’re envisioning desert mountains, a lakeside sunset, soft greenery, or something more intimate and minimal, I’ll guide you toward a spot that aligns with your vision and the overall feel you want.
What if the weather is bad on the day of an outdoor shoot?
Your experience (and your photos) are important to me, so I always keep a close eye on the forecast leading up to your session. If the weather looks unfavorable like heavy rain, strong winds, or extreme conditions, we’ll reschedule to the next mutually available date at no additional cost.
